How It Started
The Vodka Salad Defense
We make clothes and accessories for the brunch crowd, the bar crowd, the "it doesn't matter what time it is" crowd. People who appreciate a good salad, a great outfit, and an even better time!
It all started at The Happy Clam in Hampton Beach, NH. The year was 2009. An early morning drink — Amy and I walk in and see a drink in a fishbowl. Didn't even matter what it was; we'll take two. What is it, a Bloody Mary? No, no, no. It's a Vodka Salad. That's a salad? Sure is. Tomato juice. Celery. Carrots. Pickles. Asparagus. Bacon. Olives. Lemon. Lime. Hot sauce. Horseradish. Tell us that's not a salad. That's when it started. We wanted everyone to know we were Vodka Salad drinkers, not Bloody Mary drinkers. The first design was simple — Vodka Salad 1.0. You'll find that here as well. Every time I would wear it, people would say, "Where did you get that?" I would say, "I make them." Really? they would say. How can I get one? What size do you want? Then I would run out to the car and grab one. I know, sounds crazy — Amy and I driving around with a car full of T-shirts. We never charged for them; they would buy us a Vodka Salad. Well, then we got busier with life. We would still go out wearing our Vodka Salad tees — no shirts in the car — and inevitably someone would ask, "Where did you get that?" You know the story now, so we would ask them what size, get their name and address, and ship them one. Well, life got busier and it got backburnered for a little while — 13 years, to be exact. With advancements in technology and life slowing down a little bit, I started fooling around with designs. People were still asking for the old one when we'd wear it, but I thought it was time for a refresh. Vodka Salad 2.0. Well, that took long enough! Just wait for 3.0 — hopefully it's not 13 more years. Cheers. Salud. Santé. Prost. Cin cin! Sláinte! Or however you celebrate — wear it loud and proud! Amy & Jon
What We Stand For
The Vodka Salad Code
Brunch is Sacred
Sunday brunch isn't a meal — it's a ritual. We dress for it accordingly.
The Garnish Matters
Details make the drink and the outfit. We sweat the small stuff so you don't have to.
Spice is Non-Negotiable
Life's too short for bland cocktails or boring clothes. We bring the heat.
Keep It Fresh
Limited drops. Rotating designs. If you sleep on it, it's gone — like the last Bloody Mary at the bar.
